[HELP] Connecting Canon MP970 to router
Hi, This is my first post here. So my problem is that I have a Canon MP970 multi-function printer and I am not able to get it work with my router. (the printer is factory network enabled), all I need to do is just connect an ethernet cable to the printer and the other end to my router. I installed the driver etc... and when I try to follow the manual that came with the printer, the PC would not detact the printer and thus the setup would end there. The error that pops-up is either: -> 'A port is not installed. Install a port' or -> 'Install a port.' What does that mean, 'Install a Port.'??? I have tried to contact Canon to help me but to no avail, they were not able to solve my problem!!! I am running Vista Ultimate 64bit and the Wireless router that I am trying to connect the printer to is a Belkin N1 Vision. Hope you could help me. 10q
